In the afternoon of 5th November, 2014, within the framework of "Danang's Year of Enterprises 2014", Danang Investment Promotion Center (IPC DANANG) in cooperation with FDI Danang Club held a dialogue between the city leaders and FDI enterprises operating in Danang city. Being co-chaired by Mr. Van Huu Chien - Chairman of People's Committee of Da Nang City, Honorary President of FDI Danang Club and Mr. Vo Duy Khuong - Standing Vice Chairman of Danang People's Committee, Head of the Steering Board for "Danang's Year of Enterprises 2014" programme, the Dialogue also witnessed the participation of leaders from related departments and over 160 FDI enterprises in the city.

At the dialogue, Mr. Shinichi Iwama – President of Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd cum Chairman of the Japanese Business Association - Da Nang Branch- expressed his kind regards and appreciations to the city authority in making effort to boost the on-site investment promotion activities, especially in creating the opportunity for FDI enterprises to meet with the city leaders and raise their voices on how to further improve the investment environment in the city.

In addition to 66 questions which were replied in writing, there were more than 30 inquiries and recommendations received and tackled directly at the dialogue, related to such issues as land for investment, environmental concerns, physical infrastructure conditions, tax regulations and customs, human resources, administrative procedures, construction of buildings for lease and dormitory for workers, establishment of public transportation like buses for workers working in industrial parks, issues on payment of IZs' infrastructure use fees, and VAT refunds for tourists, etc.. The city leaders highly appreciated and acknowledged the contribution of responsible and passionate businesses in making mutual effort with the city authority for a more effective and transparent investment environment.

The dialogue has greatly contributed to strengthening the FDI enterprises' confidence in local authority who has been continuously attempting in facilitating investors to set up and implement investment projects in Da Nang city.
