In the working session, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that Da Nang' identified semiconductor as a breakthrough motivation growth of the City in the upcoming time. The city had chosen its strategic approach as focusing on chip design stage with an aim of gradually attracting investment into testing and packaging stage. To facilitate the conditions for the development of semiconductor industry in the citythe city is heavily investing in building  infrastructure, conducting human resources planning meet the needs about quantity and quality, forming mechanisms, policies and incentives to support investors in the field of semiconductor and microchips. The City now are working closely with Central ministries and agencies to build special policies and incentives to attract investment into this field.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Loi Nguyen, Executive Vice President of Marvell said the company had an interest in the development of the semiconductor industry in Viet Nam and the growth potential of that sector in Da Nang in particular. Marvell started opening an office in Viet Nam in 2013 and it now has 2 offices in HCM City with approximately 300 employees. It's expected to grow its workforce in Viet Nam by 50 percent over the next three years.

Mr Loi Nguyen said, that after this working session, he will present with his coworkers at Marvell (US) to organize the online meeting with Universities in Da Nang City andthe City Semiconductor and AICenter, to exchange experience in improving quality of human resources in the field of semiconductor chips in the city.
