On February 24th, 2014, Danang People's Committee promulgated the Action plan for "Danang Business Year 2014" to help businesses in the city to develop and improve their competitiveness. Accordingly, the city will strengthen communication with businesses; speed up the administrative reforms; assist businesses with financial aids, production space, equipment and technology innovation; reinforce investment, trade and tourism promotion activities; and help with human resources training.
Some main activities in the action plan include: organize dialogues between the city leaders or related city departments and businesses periodically; shorten the processing duration of administrative procedures at the city departments, the People's committee of districts or wards; publicize the procedures for the issuance of land-use certificate, land allocation, land lease, and the plan for land use; establish and implement activities of the Credit Guarantee Fund for small and medium enterprises; instruct commercial banks to continue the low interest-rate policy and create favorable financial products for businesses; re-examine the available land inside and outside industrial zones; support businesses to develop intellectual properties; implement the foreign direct investment promotion program; build exhibitions and showrooms for products of businesses in the city; continue to carry out effectively 6 business support programs (providing businesses with assistance in vocational training and job search; investing and building tourist ships; innovating technologies; investing in the hi-tech park; exporting software; and producing tourism souvenir products).
In addition, the city government will review, amend and supplement the current business support policies; research and establish policies to encourage the development of supporting industry in the city; establish investment incentive programs and the project "Developing Danang businesses towards 2020".
