Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee shared information about the potential and advantages of Da Nang with its location as a gateway to UNESCO world heritage sites such as Hoi An Ancient Town, Hue Capital, My Son Sanctuary...

Da Nang is also a destination to host and organize many regional and international events such as APEC Economic Leaders' Week, Routes Asia 2022, Danang International Fireworks Festival with a number of famous titles and awards including "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination" in 2022 awarded by World Travel Awards; Top 3 best cities in Southeast Asia in 2022 voted by Travel + Leisure Magazine; My Khe Beach is in the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Asia in 2023 by TripAdvisor.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism also provided information about aviation infrastructure and information on aviation and tourism recovery in Da Nang after the COVID-19 epidemic as well as plans to promote tourism of the city.

Emirates is known as the world's largest international airline, specializing in operating long-haul routes, directly connecting Dubai's aviation hub with 152 destinations in 85 countries. This is a pioneer airline, having received the "World's Best Airline" award 9 times in a row at the Business Traveler Middle East Awards. Currently, Emirates is operating daily return flights from Dubai to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. 

Mr. Orhan Abbas - Vice President of the Far East and Commercial Division of Emirates commented that the airline highly appreciates the operational efficiency of flights to major cities of Vietnam, especially emphasizing the demand for travel has increased, especially after the COVID-19 epidemic, on flights operated by the airline. The airline will investigate the possibility of opening the direct flight to Da Nang and continue to discuss more with the city about infrastructure details, aviation capacity and market information.
