In the morning of October 30th, the business delegation led by Dr. Hanna Goeters- a senior officer of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology paid a visit to the People's Committee of Danang.
At the meeting, Dr. Hanna Goeters highly appreciated the outstanding development of Danang City in the recent years. She hoped that the visit would improve the cooperation relationship between Germany and Danang City.
Vice Chairman of Danang People's Committee Phung Tan Viet welcomed the delegationand appreciated the German government's supporting programs to Danang in recent years. He suggested the German government should continue supporting the city in implementation of the public administration reform and development of Danang into a sustainable city and an environment-friendly city in the coming years.
The delegation consisted ofthe representatives of top German enterprises in hi-tech fields, including Bruker - one of the world's leaders in providing high precision analytical instruments for research and development in science; Cassidian Communications specializing in building radar systems, land mobile radio for military bases and industries such as transportation, healthcare...; KRD Sicherheitstechnik manufacturing safety glasses and plastic finish-coating; Logic Instruments GMbH producing rugged portable pcs and display solutions for military, government and gyophysical exploration and mining companies. In addition, Orissa International, a trade and investment promotion firm, and AHP International, one of the German leading private sector service providers in the field of international business, trade and foreign direct investment promotion participated in the mission.
At the meeting, the representative of IPC Danang leaders briefly introduced the city investment environment and the incentives policies for investments in Danang Hi-tech Park and IT Park.
Dr. Hanna Goeters and the German business representatives were very impressed with the vision of Danang authority of the plan to develop Danang to be a hi-tech and an environment-friendly city. The business delegation wished to seek for appropriate investment opportunities in Danang. Vice Chairman Viet proposed that two sides should cooperate to organize some networking conferences for companies from Germany and Danang to look for partners, trade and investment opportunities, especially in the fields of education and hi-tech. He committed that the city authority would proactively support German enterprises for establishing and implementing investment projects in Danang.
