The ceremony was attended by Permanent Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Da Nang City Ho Ky Minh; representatives of Departments of Tourism, Foreign Affairs, Information and Communications, Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs.
The MoU between Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency and Pasona Inc., (Japan) lasts 03 years from 2023 to 2025 with an intention of promoting investment from Japan into Da Nang City. Accordingly, both parties focus on implementing activities in two main areas: Supporting Japanese businesses to expand their businesses in Da Nang and promoting human resource development in Da Nang city. Specifically, both parties agree upon exchanging and providing relevant information to showcase Da Nang's investment environment to Japanese businesses and investors; cooperating to support Japanese businesses doing business in Da Nang via business matchmaking events, conferences, seminars, and regular dialogues; consulting activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh showed appreciation to the continued support of Pasona to Da Nang City over the past time. He underlined that Japan was one of the most important investment and trade partners of Da Nang city. Currently, Japan is the leading country in investment capital in the city with more than 1 billion USD for 230 projects, accounting for nearly 25% of total investment capital in the city. He expressed his hope that Pasona would consistently support Da Nang to call for investments from Japan in the fields of high technology, integrated circuit, semiconductor and manufacturing industries.

Mrs. Huynh Lien Phuong, Director of Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency and Mr. Hajime Kono, Executive Director of Pasona also demonstrated their commitment in effectively implementing the agreement, contributing to the socio-economic development of Da Nang City and the strong relationship between the two countries.

Currently, Pasona Japan Group has more than 50 branch offices in 15 territories and countries worldwide. In Vietnam, Pasona Tech Vietnam was established in 2004 with 3 offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang. Previously, in April 2019, in Japan, the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency and Pasona Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2019 - 2022. Many effective cooperation activities have been carried out such as: establishing the Awaji Da Nang Cooperation Office on Awaji Island (Japan) and bringing Da Nang engineers to work at the Office in Japan; establishing Pasona DX Hub Office in Da Nang; organizing investment promotion seminars in Japan and Da Nang, etc. In December 2019, Pasona Tech Vietnam (a member company of Pasona Group) received a Certificate of Merit from People's Committee of Da Nang City for their contribution to the city's socio-economic development. |
