On September 12, 2022, with the permission of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, within the framework of the Invest Da Nang Seminar in Bremen state, the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA Da Nang) ) and Bremen State Economic Development Agency (Bremeninvest) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of investment promotion between the two sides.

By the end of July 2022, there were 13 German FDI projects in Da Nang city with a total investment capital of about 10.3 million USD, concentrated in the fields of services, restaurants, hotels, and information technology. Being the largest economy in Europe and ranked 4th in the world (according to World Bank data), it can be said that Germany is a potential investment attraction market for Da Nang city. However, German investment figure in Da Nang is still limited and inadequate.
Considering that it is necessary to promote investment promotion for the German market in the near future, after the research and evaluation process, IPA Da Nang proceeds to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Bremeninvest. This is the first new Memorandum of Understanding signed by IPA Da Nang in 2022. The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on the contents of providing information to promote the investment environment of the two localities to individuals and organizations in need; supporting the organization of investment promotion events co-organized by the parties; supporting investment promotion delegations, connecting businesses to learn about the business investment environment between the two localities. The Memorandum of Understanding also lays a solid foundation for the two localities to have more specific programs and activities to support each other in investment promotion and business connection between the two sides. The two agencies can research, propose to promote and develop many cooperation programs in other fields such as trade, tourism, technology, education, etc.
It is known that the state of Bremen has a gross domestic product of 34 billion euros (in 2019), GDP per capita of 49,000 euros (in 2019), the state of Bremen is considered the leading industrial and logistics center in Germany. The Bremen - Bremerhaven container port is the 27th largest container port in the world. Bremen International Airport is one of the 10 busiest airports in Germany. Bremen's economic development policy focuses on supporting economic sectors that are established on advanced technology, such as aerospace and aircraft manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, aviation services, logistics and education infrastructure development and business parks for new science- and digital-based businesses. Bremen has strengths in the fields of automotive industry, logistics, education, shipping (some large enterprises in these fields are Metro, Fiege, Dachser, Schenker...). The economic strengths of the state of Bremen are quite similar to the areas that Da Nang city is focusing on "calling for investment", which are supporting industries, marine economy, information technology, innovation, education, etc..
