On 25 December, 2015, Danang People's Committee issued the list of projects calling for investment in the agricultural sector in hi-tech application in the period of 2015-2020. The projects may be invested in the form of 100% foreign capital or domestic capital or joint-venture. Danang Investment Promotion Centre has been assigned to carry out the procedures for calling for investment in these projects.
The projects calling for investment include two projects of safe vegetable planting in La Huong vegetable garden, Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le district and a project of growing flowers in Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district (please see the file attached).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in recent years the high technology application has become a wave in agricultural sector, producing high quality and safety controlled products, which start to be competitive with foreign imports and aim at export. Many hi-tech agriculture zones and research areas of biotechnology applications in agriculture have been established and developed, for example Hi-tech Agricultural Park of Hochiminh City, Dalat Zone for Biotechnology and Applied high tech Agriculture, Long An Hi-tech Agricultural Experiment Zone...
The effectiveness of high tech application in agricultural production has been proven in the initial success of many enterprises; however, as it requires huge investment and certain knowledge in technology; hi-tech agricultural production involves more intensive investment of businesses including those in private and FDI sectors.
Danang city expects that in the next 3-5 years the city will receive the investors in agricultural sector to create a revolution in agricultural production and improve the efficiency, quality for agricultural products of the city.
