On December 5th 2013, Danang People's Committee cooperated with Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in Vietnam to hold a dialogue between Korean and Danang enterprises at Danang People's Committee Hall.
There were more than 20 Korean and Vietnamese enterprises attending the dialogue, who specialised in many fields including new energy, trading, electronics, hospitality and consulting and refrigeration electrical engineering, etc.
Addressing at the dialogue, Mr. Phung Tan Viet - Vice Chairman of Danang People's Committee welcomed the Korean business delegation to visit and explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the city. He also emphasised that Korean enterprises were the key partners on whom the city would focus to attract more investments in the coming time.
Mr. Kim Ho Kyun- Chief Representative of KCCI in Vietnam thanked the city leaders for supporting KCCI in holding many investment and commerce related activities around the year.. He hoped that the free trade agreement between Korea and Vietnam would strengthen the relation between the two countries.
At the dialogue, Mrs. Huynh Lien Phuong - Vice Director of Danang Investment Promotion Center briefly introduced the comparative advantages of Danang in investment attraction, particularly the Danang Hi-tech Park and the incentives.
In the discussion, the Korean enterprises expressed their interest in the incentives for investment in new energy and the opportunity for investing in catering industry. Additionally, Danang Department of Commerce and Industry acknowledged the suggestion and promised to introduce potential partners in Danang who would be interested in becoming agents to Korean enterprises.
