In the morning of July 3rd, 2014, Mr. Vo Duy Khuong, Vice Chairman of Danang's People Committee had a courtesy meeting with the Thai Ambassador Delegation led by Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Royal Thai Ambassador to Vietnam. Representatives of associations, and companies in Thailand, and relevant city departments also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Duy Khuong welcomed the delegation's visit to Danang and hoped that this visit would tighten the friendly relationship between Thailand and Vietnam in general, and Danang in particular. Currently, Thailand is one of the important trade partners of Danang with more than 20 local businesses having import-export relationship with Thai businesses.
Thai Ambassador expressed sincere thanks for the city leaders' warm welcome. As the hubof Central Vietnam and the end point of the EWEC, Danang had much potential for cooperating with Thailand in the fields of tourism and trade. He hoped that Danang city leaders could suggest some policies to promote the Thailand – Danang direct flight, and simply the customs procedures at the border gate to further facilitate the cooperation between Thai and Danang businesses.
