At the meeting, Acting Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang Oh Jungtaek expressed his deep impression of the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage, and its development potential as well, especially the 2026 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
Mr. Oh Jungtaek hoped that, in the coming time, the Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city will coordinate on a range of practical initiatives to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
He also showed his interest in joining the beach clean-up campaign organized by the committee on June 4 in celebration of the World Environment Day.
In particular, he highlighted the “YouthFULL Tomorrow” campaign, a global digital initiative conveying the message “Youth Shaping the Future”. The campaign aims to provide the opportunities for young people around the world to share ideas and discuss the future on Instagram.
Expressing his pleasure at welcoming Acting Consul General Oh Jungtaek, Chairman Le Tri Thanh emphasized that South Korea is one of the city's key partners in various spheres, especially tourism, investment, and cultural exchange.
He also asked for a helping hand from Mr. Oh Jungtaek to support and encourage South Korean businesses to expand investment cooperation in line with Da Nang's sustainable development goals in the years ahead.
