Specifically, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector is estimated to increase by 2.74%, the industry - construction sector by 15.13%; the service sector by 10.32%; and industry and construction by 18.8%.
According to Mr. Minh, the city’s economy saw many positive highlights and achieved many outstanding results in the first six months of the year. Several sectors maintained high growth rates and are expected to significantly contribute to the city’s overall economic growth in the remaining quarters and throughout 2025.
The service and tourism sectors continue to develop strongly with many festivals and new, unique and vibrant tourism products, especially the successful organisation of a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang, the opening of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, and tourism stimulus activities.
Several major real estate projects are currently under simultaneous construction. Notably, on June 22, the Vinpearl JSC officially broke ground on the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Complex in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, with a total investment of about VND 44 trillion.
Domestic and foreign investment attraction, and international cooperation activities have been enhanced. In the first half of 2025, Da Nang attracted US$ 62.56 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), a 2.5-fold increase over the same period in 2024 (157%).
To date, the city has attracted 1,054 FDI projects with a total capital of over US$ 4.6 billion, alongside 396 domestic investment projects worth VND 296,890 billion. Da Nang is home to 43,193 active businesses, branches, and representative offices with total registered capital of VND 260,221 billion.
The city has actively removed bottlenecks in the real estate market, capital market, and corporate bond market. It has effectively implemented Conclusion No. 77-KL/TW of the Politburo on the project "Plan to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in a number of provinces and cities"; Resolution No. 170/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Khanh Hoa Province and the Government's Decree detailing Resolution No. 170/2024/QH15.
In the first 6 months of the year, the mobilisation of social development investment capital is estimated at VND 21,599 billion, equal to 56.1% of the plan, up 40.8% over the same period in 2024.
By June 30, disbursement of public investment capital is expected to reach VND 2,620 billion, equivalent to 30% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister. The city has also inaugurated and launched multiple projects in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 – March 29, 2025).
Moreover, social welfare goals have been maintained and implemented with strong support from all levels of leadership, the business community, and the public.
Under the city’s 2025 programme to eliminate temporary housing, 2,025 out of 2,037 targeted homes have been completed as of June 17, achieving 99% of the target. Six districts have fully completed their respective targets.
The city has issued a project to arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus of agencies and units, as well as effectively implemented support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers when arranging and streamlining the apparatus and administrative units at all levels.
Regarding tasks for the last months of 2025, Vice Chairman Minh stated that the municipal government will continue to review and strive to complete the goals and tasks outlined by the central government, aiming for a double-digit growth rate for the year.
Efforts will be made to support stable production and business operations, particularly by helping investors resolve obstacles and accelerate investment procedures for key projects such as the Asia Park Complex and the Da Nang International Fireworks Complex.
The city will lay an emphasis on accelerating public investment disbursement in 2025 and improving urban planning, environmental protection, and administrative reforms to enhance the local business environment and investment attraction. It will also promote external relations and international cooperation, helping remove barriers to facilitate project implementation within the year.
