During his meeting with the Da Nang’s officials, Mr. Rajiv Maheshaway, the Business Development Vice President of Synopsys introduced the latest technologies developed by the company. As one of the world’s largest software company, Synopsys has a rich history in developing electronic design automation (EDA) and semiconductor IP, and also shows its growing leadership in software quality and security solutions. Synopsis currently has about 20,000 employees worldwide and its revenue in 2022 is estimated at approximately $5.5 billion.
Leader of Synopys also emphasized that Viet Nam was one of the strategic investment destinations of the company in the Asia-Pacific region. In the period from 2020 to 2022, Synopsys opened 04 offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City, creating jobs for more than 500 engineers. As part of the MoU signed with Da Nang People’s Committee, Synopsys would help connect engineers trained at the Incubation Center with job opportunities with domestic and foreign semiconductor businesses
Mr. Quang praised Synopsys for its proactive support in training high-quality semiconductor human resources in Viet Nam, especially in Da Nang. He hoped that signing of MoU between the Da Nang government and Synopsys would enhance the cooperation between Da Nang and Synopsys to a new level of comprehensiveness and effectiveness. Mr Quang took the opportunity to ask for support from Synopsys in building word-class certification programs for the semiconductor industry in the city; establishing relations with authorised organisations that grant IC Design Engineer Certifications; granting preferential policies in evaluating and certifying the city's trained semiconductor engineers. Mr. Quang pledged that the Da Nang government would always create the most favourable conditions for Synopsys to operate effectively in the city.
