This announcement was made by Mr. Shuhei Kishimoto, Governor of Wakayama Prefecture at the opening session of the Provincial Council on June 13 (1).
Accordingly, the first two round-trip flights will carry Wakayama officials to visit Vietnamese localities, and Vietnamese visitors to the Japanese prefecture. Besides that, the students of the two countries will also be aboard for exchanges on this occasion.
Wakayama Prefecture is the place to receive a large number of Vietnamese interns to work in the agricultural, food processing, and seafood processing industries. It is well known for its delicious fruits grown on large-scale farming, organic farms, and meets strict quality and safety regulations.
Last year, Mr. Shinmo Hiroshi - Deputy Governor of Wakayama prefecture already visited and worked with the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee. He introduced the potential for tourism development of Wakayama province and said that Wakayama's businesses are very interested in investing in Vietnam, including Da Nang. Mr. Shimo Hiroshi expressed his desire to promote friendly cooperation in many fields between Wakayama province and Da Nang City in the coming time. (2)
