Architectural design of the Mikazuki overpass
Speaking at the ceremony, Mikazuki Chairman Mr. Odaka Yoshimune stated that the pedestrian overpass is designed to be of nearly 11m high, 140m long with a floor area of about 655m2 and total investment of more than 42 billion VND, the bridge has modern Japanese architectural style. The path leading up to the bridge is like a knot in the Japanese art of Ayatori string knitting, showing the strong bond between the two cultures of Vietnam and Japan. The shape of the building is inspired by the waves of the sea, bringing the feeling of peace and relaxation. The bridge is decorated with images of cherry blossoms and lotus, the symbolic flowers of the two countries. Outside the two observatories are steel spiral staircases with elevators so that people with disabilities can easily access the bridge. The work is expected to be completed in May 2023, with an intention to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023).
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori expressed his desire for Da Nang - Japan tourism to be resumed and developed soon considering the restoration of direct flights between Da Nang and Japanese localities. The infrastructure invested and built together with 5-star hotels will meet the needs of Japanese tourists.

Within the framework of the event, Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Mr. Le Quang Nam expressed his confidence in Mikazuki's capability and enthusiasm and suggested that the company closely coordinate with related departments and agencies to effectively put the project into operation according to the schedule so that it will become a key cultural-economic project in Xuan Thieu Tourist Area in particular and the Northwest region of the city in general, demonstrating the strong friendship between the culture of Vietnam and Japan.
