On March 12, 2022, Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) had a meeting with the new Australian Consul General, Ms. Sarah Hooper. Director of IPA - Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong introduced the environment and investment opportunities in many fields in Da Nang city. Currently, the data of Australian investors in Da Nang is still quite low (by the end of 2021, there are only 21 projects with a total investment capital of 13.9 million USD, focusing on the service sectors and education). Therefore, IPA wishes to attract new businesses and investors in new fields in Da Nang.
The meeting atmosphere
Ms. Sarah Hooper said that Da Nang is a potential market for Australian businesses to invest. In particular, the city has many international students who have studied and worked in Australia, these are important bridges to promote the image of Da Nang city and facilitate investment promotion. She affirmed that Da Nang has a favorable location, synchronously developed infrastructure, trained human resources, a favorable living environment and clarity and transparency in administrative work.
Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong expressed her gratitude to Mrs. Sarah Hooper for her favor towards Da Nang city. I hope that Ms. Sarah Hooper in her position in the new term will reap much success and interest, support Da Nang city in general as well as IPA in particular.
