On February 24th, 2022, the seminar "Introducing Vietnam Trade Database Portal" was held at Novotel Hotel, Da Nang. This is one of a series of 03 seminars organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the sponsorship of the UK Government and the British Chamber Of Commerce (BritCham) (which was also held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong).
The seminar was attended by Oliver Todd - the new Consul General of the United Kingdom, Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency, Da Nang branch of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and more than 50 delegates from various associations, enterprises, cooperatives,... related to the field of import and export, trade, logistics and other production industries. The Vietnam Trade Database (VNTR) is researched and developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, meeting standards to connect with the ASEAN Trade Database (ATR) (https://atr.asean.org) and complying with the requirements of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA).
The seminars will provide guidance on how to exploit information on the VNTR Database for micro, small and medium enterprises, government agencies, enforcement officers at major ports, as well as domestic and international associations and chambers of commerce. In addition, the seminar also provides detailed and useful information for businesses, and through this, the VNTR Project team will collect feedback to make improvements and appropriate adjustments before the Database goes live.
