OCOP goods and agricultural products produced by cooperatives in Da Nang are on sale at a domestic trading floor for agricultural products at the headquarters of the Central Viet Nam branch of the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative. |
The trading floor was officially open on November 20 at the headquarters of the Central Viet Nam branch of the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative at 579-581 on March 29 Street in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang.
Organised by the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance in collaboration with the Da Lat Sunfood Cooperative, the opening of the trading floor aims to promote the introduction and sale of OCOP and agricultural products produced by farming households and cooperatives in Central Viet Nam.
In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance Le Van Nghi highlighted the significance of the insuguration of the agricultural product trading floor and the Central Viet Nam branch of the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative in not only marking a new development stage of this cooperative, but also creating a driving force for other cooperatives nationwide to develop themselves into large-scale cooperatives, and national and transnational cooperative groups in the future.
In recent years, many cooperatives across Da Nang have joined the agricultural product supply chain of the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative with the aim of promoting the production and consumption of OCOP goods and agricultural products.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative Pham Ngoc Thach informed the unit had a fleet of mobile vehicles to transport OCOP goods and agricultural products produced by farming households and cooperatives in Da Nang as well as other localities in Central Viet Nam to consumers throughout the country.
Currently, the Sunfood Da Lat Cooperative has 70 kinds of vegetables and fruits, 50 kinds of flowers, 47 types of ‘Made-in-Da Lat’ agricultural products, and 100 products from central localities.
The cooperative is planning to expand the production and consumption chains of an expected 2,000 OCOP and agricultural products to 63 provinces and cities nationwide by 2023.
