Addressing the webinar, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau noted that the project Pharma Park had been proposed by a more than 30 giant pharma companies in India with a vision to create a specialized pharma industrial park in Viet Nam. Speaking on behalf of Da Nang People’s Committee, Vice Chairman Minh introduced potentials and advantages Da Nang might offer to domestic and foreign investors. With an orientation to become an eco-smart urban area, a hub for startups and innovation, and one of the most liveable cities in Asia, Da Nang’s development is based on 03 main pillars: Tourism, High technology and Marine Economy with a focus on 05 key sectors, including tourism and high quality services associated with real estates and resorts; seaports and airports associated with logistics services; high-tech industry associated with smart city and start-ups; information technology industry associated with the digital economy; and high-tech agricultural and fishery products.
Vice Chairman Minh highly appreciated the idea of creating a pharmaceutical value chain in Viet Nam through the establishment of a pharma industrial park. He recommended the investors to study Da Nang Hi-tech Park, which offered appealing investment incentives, such as CIT, lend rentals as well as other pre and post investment supports. He also underlined that the city authority would create the most favorable conditions for the investors to successfully implement the project in Da Nang.
