Mr. Le Quang Nam - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Tran Van Hoang - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Le Son Phong - Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications, leaders of research institutes, universities and leaders of many startups in Da Nang city attended the conference.
In 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic seriously affected the startup community. In that context, the Department of Science and Technology, businesses, start-up support organizations and the startup community have taken solutions to transform, adapt to new situations, overcome difficulties in business, production and management.
The conference summarized the city's start-up activities and start-up support in 2020, including the following contents: 1. Develop and promulgate mechanisms and policies to promote innovative startups; 2. Supporting startups to innovate; 3. Building technical and material foundations; 4. Connecting startups; 5. Training, capacity building and providing services for innovative startups; 6. Communication on innovative startups; and 7. Announcing the core mission for 2021.
Representatives of the startup business community shared difficulties and proposed supporting policies for the city to research, helping to build a stronger community of startups in the city. The city leaders acknowledged the comments and committed to accompany the startup community, creating favorable conditions and submitting their petitions to the government to amend and supplement legal documents, creating a more favorable legal corridor for the city's start-ups.
