The program targets to raise awareness of digital transformation for 100% of Vietnamese enterprises in the next five years.
Especially, at least 100,000 enterprises will directly benefit from the program on digital readiness self-assessment tools, training assistance, and solution connectivity.
The MoPI also aims to support at least 100 enterprises to conduct comprehensive digital transformation.
Both the USAID and the MoPI will formulate a network of at least 100 organizations and consultants which will provide solutions to digital transformation for enterprises in Viet Nam.
Addressing the event, MoPI Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people’s habits. However, amidst the Fourth Industrial Revolution, new consumer trends and business models will appear, demanding businesses to change and adapt to.
Hence, requirements for innovation and digital transformation have become more urgent than ever.
Earlier, on June 3, 2020, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued Decision 749 on “National digital transformation program to 2025, orientation to 2030.
The program targets to convert Viet Nam into a digital, stable and prosperous country, a pioneer in testing new technologies and models.
Especially, the program aims to promote the development of a digital economy with a focus on developing digital businesses, moving from assembly and processing of information technology to making digital products, industry 4.0, developing digital content, creative industries, platform economics, sharing economics, e-commerce and smart manufacturing; promote digital transformation in businesses to improve the competitiveness of businesses and the economy./.
