Da Nang has been named among the top 3 localities to watch in 2019 in Viet Nam’s National Cyber Security Index at grade A. Da Nang shares its ranking with Can Tho and Vinh Phuc.
The Viet Nam Cyber Security Index, published by the Department of Information Security under the Ministry of Information and Communications, measures the success of these safeguards and the level of risk to each locality across Viet Nam.
The index by which Vietnamese localities are ranked is composite of five individual areas of cyber security focus: legal measures, technical measures, organisational measures, capacity building and national information sharing.
Meanwhile, 32 localities have been ranked at grade B, 24 at grade C, and 4 at grade D. None of the localities in Viet Nam have been at the bottom of the ranking at grade E.
The State Bank of Viet Nam has been ranked at grade A in the category of ministries and ministerial-level agencies.
According to the Department of Information Security, most of government departments and agencies, and organisations, have paid more special attention to, and done well in cybersafety.
In 2018, none of the localities in Viet Nam were ranked at grade A in the National Cyber Security Index. Da Nang was named among the 12 Vietnamese localities which were ranked at grade B in the national survey ranking the level and focus of cyber security development.
