At the Q&A sessions, Australian delegates raised many questions regarding the city’s ICT infrastructure development plan; smart city’s project; investment policies and tax incentives for foreign investors, etc. Representatives of businesses in Da Nang also shared why they decided to invest in Da Nang, their experience, challenges, and opportunities for further cooperation between Da Nang and Australian businesses in the future.
In the past recent years, the bilateral relationship between Viet Nam and Australia have developed quickly and effectively, cuminating in the signing of the Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between Australia and Viet Nam in March, 2018. Accordingly, the collaboration between Da Nang and other Australian cities also blossoms. So far, there have been 9 FDI projects from Australia in Da Nang with a total investment capital of more than USD 4.2 million. Visitors from Australia to Da Nang also rose sharply over the years. In 2019, as Viet Nam further intergrates into the global economal and the CPTPP - of which both Viet Nam and Australia are members – officially takes effect, Da Nang expects to attract more interests from Australian businesses.
During their visit in Da Nang, the delegation also paid visits to Da Nang Port, Furama Resort, AUV, FPT company, etc.
