KAICA delegation works with Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency, Management Board of Industrial and Export Processing Zones, Management Board of Hi-tech Park and SDN Corporation
KAICA delegation head- Mr. Ko Moon So, highly appraised the development potentials of the Vietnamese automobile market in the coming time, thus, KAICA members would wish to come to Da Nang to find the opportunity for investing in the construction of an automobile component factory.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ky Anh, Deputy Director of IPA Da Nang briefed on the investment environment, opportunities and incentives for the auxiliary industry and provided Korean investors with information on environmental issues, waste management, logistics and living conditions for Korean community in the city. Mr Nguyen Ky Anh also affirmed that IPA Da Nang would act as the central point for supporting KAICA members during the process of investment exploration and administrative procedures for implementing projects in Da Nang.
During the working visit, KAICA delegation also paid a site visit to Expanded Hoa Khanh and Lien Chieu industrial zones (invested by Saigon – Da Nang Corporation), in which they had a chance to visit inside the factory of TCIE Vietnam (the project with 100 mil USD investment capital conducting car assembly for Sunny and X-trail brands of the Japanese car producer Nissan).
KAICA was established in 1962 as a non-profit organization for the development of Korean automobile and motorcycle industry, especially manufacturing of parts and components, with 270 members. Main activities of KAICA include Researching and analyzing problems of the industry is facing and recommending the appropriate implementation of policy to the related governmental organizations; collecting, compiling and disseminating information such as statistical data on production, sales, and export pertaining to auto parts industry; providing member companies with all the updated information of technical standards and regulations related to auto parts and encouraging them to meet…
* Korea is currently the forth biggest investor country in Da Nang in terms of FDI investment capital with 256.17 million USD (accounting for 8.36% of total FDI investment capital in Da Nang). In addition, the number of Korean tourist arrivals to Da Nang in 2017 saw an increase of over 40%.
