The Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand and the Department of Plant Protection, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on April 10 organized a ceremony announcing the export of Viet Nam’s rambutans to New Zealand.

Head of the Department of Plant Protection Hoang Trung announced that the two nations officially signed a program to ensure exports of rambutans.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of MARD Le Quoc Doanh hailed the support of New Zealand for Viet Nam through programs and projects in field of agriculture over the recent years.
Earlier, during PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to New Zealand from March 12-14, the two nations’ leaders discussed measures to enhance trade promotion, striving to reach the two-way trade of US$1.7 -2 billion by 2020.
