In the afternoon of April 8th, Vietnam – Bulgaria business forum was jointly held by the Bulgarian Embassy in Viet Nam and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Da Nang, on the occasion of Bulgarian Prime Minister's visit to Danang.
The forum was attented by Bulgarian PM Plamen Oresharski, Chaiman of Danang's People Committee Van Huu Chien, representatives of governmental agencies of both parties and 22 Bulgarian businesses operating in the fields of energy, electronics, information technology, consultancy, agriculture... as well as about 50 local businesses.
At the forum, PM Plamen Oresharski expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of Danang City, and emphasized that high-level meetings of the two countries' leaders and the business forums proved that the relationship between Vietnam and Bulgaria has been set up multifaceted cooperation ties in a more effective manner. He introduced Bulgaria as a country with stable economic growth and high potential development to Danang's leaders and businesses. He also said that Vietnam and Bulgaria have a vast prospect for cooperation, and hoped to strengthen this relation through official communication between the two countries' investment promotion agencies and businesses.
Also, the representative of IPC Danang leaders briefly introduced the city's outstanding socio-economic achievements, advantages in attracting foreign investment and the city's vision to 2020, especially information on investment environment and the incentives policies for investments in Danang Hi-tech Park and IT Park.
At the end, Danang and Bulgarian businesses exchanged information and searched for partnership opportunities. Although Bulgaria has no investments in Danang City yet, many businesses at the forum expressed confidence about the prospects for cooperation in the near future.
