The event aimed to recognize the contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city, to inform associations, communities and enterprises about solutions to implement the 2023 theme of Da Nang city - “The year to focus on unleashing resources, attracting investment, maintaining economic growth and ensuring social security”.
Addressing the event, Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang spoke highly of the tremendous efforts of the city’s business community in overcome difficulties and obstacles caused by COVID-10 to bounce back and make great contributions to the socio-economic development of the city in 2022. The Secretary of the City Party Committee also expected the business community to continue to inherit and bring into play the previous achievements, boldly adopt technologies for improved labour productivity and management capacity, devise concrete plan based on long-term vision. He suggested the city’s enterprises strictly complied with the laws, enhanced social responsibities during their project implementation, together with the city authority aiming towards a green economy and sustainable environment; meanwhile, business associations should promote the role of a bridge between their members and local departments, actively contributing ideas to improve the quality of the city’s mechanisms, policies, projects and planning, etc.
On behalf of Da Nang People’s Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh made a short presentation on the action plan of the city for the year 2023. He stated that in 2023, the city shall strive to achieve the targets of an increase of 6.5 – 7% in GRDP growth rate compared to 2022; GRDP per capita reaching 4,500 USD; state budget collection exceeding the 2022 results. To achieve these targets, the city continues to effectively implement the digital transformation associated with building a smart city project; work closely with Central ministries and agencies to resolve existing obstacles; complete Da Nang Master plan in the 2021 – 2030 period, with a vision to 2045 and zoning plans; devise allocation plan for public investment; accelerate the procedures to implement the auction of land use rights; accelerate the construction and operation of key projects; issuing Policy to promote socialization in some sectors; deploy programs to ensure social security, etc.
At the event, leaders of VNPT Vietnam, Sun Group, Mabuchi Motor Da Nang, Danapha, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment JSC and Da Nang SME Association also shared their invesment and business plans for the year 2023 to the city leaders and put forward some recommendations to deal with current challenges when doing business.
Concluding the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh lauded the business community for their contributions to the overall development of the city. In the coming time, Da Nang People’s Committee would direct functional departments and units to improve investment climate, simplify administrative procedures, promote digital transformation, innovation, work closely with enterprises to facilitate the stable and sustainable development of enterprises. He urged the business community to uphold the trust, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, independence, strive efforts, join hands with the city authority to reach the target of maintaining the city’s sustainable growth.
