Chairman of Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea said that Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea, a member of global Vietnam Innovation Network was established in 2021 with a mission to enhance the co-operation in Viet Nam and Korea on the basis of innovation exchanges. The representative of Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea proposed Da Nang city to study the cooperative opportunities in the fields of investment, trade, start-ups and innovation development. Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea would play a role of a bridge connecting start-up and innovation enterprises between Da Nang and Korea; along with working closely with city’s departments to organize investment, start-ups and innovation promotion events, establish Da Nang’s innovation space in Seoul, etc.
Permanent Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh highly appreciated the delegation’s proposals and suggested functional departments and agencies to support and coordinate with Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea to develop detailed agenda for the implementation of the cooperation program. He stated that Da Nang had identified start-ups and innovation as one of the main drivers for socio-economic development in the coming time. By 2022, the innovation start-up ecosystem in the city had witnessed many positive achievements. Many innovative start-ups successfully commercialised their products, receiving worldwide recognition for its wide applicability in many sectors, such as healthcare, food manufacturing and AI (Datbike Vietnam, Hekate, EM & AI, Cashbag, etc). The city put high priority to completing mechanisms and policies, investing infrastucture to promote the development of start-ups and innovation.
Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee expected Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea to play an active role in introducing the potential and investment opportunities of Da Nang city to Korean investors; contributing to the socio-economic development as well start-up innovation development of the city.
