The event welcomed the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Van Quang – Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; delegates from south central provinces of Laos; representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations, departments, agencies and units in the city as well as leaders of Department of Trade and Industry, Trade and Industry Promotion Centers/Investment and Tourism Promotion Centers from provinces and cities across the country; businesses.
EWEC Fair – Da Nang 2022 attracted the attention and participation of 235 businesses from localities along the EWEC and other provinces and cities across the country with 419 commercial booths and 08 international organizations with 26 exhibition booths.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh highlighted that EWEC Fair – Da Nang 2022 was a part of the 2022 National Trade Promotion Program approved by Ministry of Industry and Trade and annually held for localities, businesses and investors from the EWEC and other provinces in the region to to introduce their development achievements, economic potentials and promote cooperation and mutual understandings. Especially, in the year 2022, EWEC Fair – Da Nang 2022 was also of importance in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Laos and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Viet Nam-Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.
A variety of products displayed at the Fair includes eletrical, electronic and technology products; household appliances, wooden products and interior decorations., wooden products and interior decorations, art crafts; consumer goods such as food and beverage products, textile products, cosmetic products; services in the sectors of tourism, logistics, education, healthcare, real estates, etc.
Within the framework of the Fair, the Forum on Developing logistics services on the EWEC, Quang Nam’s Products Day, the Seminar on Removing difficulties for rural manufacturing businesses during and post COVID-19, Da Nang Business Matching Event will also be held on the 4th and 5th of August, along with gameshows and art performances every night.
The fair will be open to the public free of charge from 08:30 am to 10:00 pm until August 08, 2022.
