The workshop was chaired by Eurocham with the participation of Mr. Jose Sanchez-Barroso Gonzalez, Delegate for Advocacy of Eurocham in Central Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Thuy Duong, Deputy General Director- KPMG International Tax Consulting Co., Ltd. and other specialists.
The workshop was organized to inform businesses about the EVFTA Agreement, as well as to promote and introduce the investment and business environment and opportunities for cooperation and investment in Da Nang in the fields of import and export to EU market in the context that Vietnam and EU have ratified the EVFTA Agreement, contributing to boosting Vietnam's exports, helping to diversify Vietnam's export markets and commodities.
The EU is one of the key import and export markets of Da Nang city with an export turnover of 255 million USD to the EU and an import of 130 million USD from the EU to Da Nang in 2020. The EU is currently the third largest export market of Da Nang after Japan and the United States, and is also the third largest import market of Da Nang after Japan and China.
