In late August, AmCham Viet Nam donated 5 patient monitoring devices, totalling 550 million VND to Da Nang in a bid to help the city tackle coronavirus after Da Nang braced for a second coronavirus wave.
Chairman Tho asked for help from the Da Nang Chapter to continue expanding its membership network, and encouraging more US businesses currently operating across Viet Nam, especially those in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang.
Founded as an informal association in March 1994, just one month after President Clinton lifted the trade embargo, AmCham Viet Nam is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, and non-political voluntary membership association of American businesses in Viet Nam.

Established in June, AmCham Viet Nam – Da Nang is now on its missions to boost cooperation in economy, investment and trade between Vietnamese and American businesses which now operate in Da Nang and the Central region as a whole.
Till date, Da Nang has always considered the USA as one of its key economic partners. The Da Nang government has prioritised attracting US investors to pour the money into tourism, culture, trade and other aspects.
