On December 16th, Vice Chairman of Danang People Committee Ho Ky Minh had a meeting with Mr. Ibnu Hadi - Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam.
This is the fourth time the Ambassador visited Danang and he strongly believes that Danang will be an important destination of Vietnam in the future, especially with the upcoming APEC 2017. During the meeting, he expressed the hope to promote bilateral cooperation on investment and business activities of Indonesian investors and enterprises in Danang city, initially by investigating business opportunities, current policies and incentives for foreign investors. He also proposed jointly organising an annual trade exhibition in Danang, commencing the next year. The Ambassador was particularly interested in public health services, hotel and restaurant and he hoped that Indonesian investors will establish one or two restaurants and other projects in Danang city in the near future.
Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh thanked the Ambassador and highly appreciated his cooperative spirit and goodwill. He stated that the city was prioritising light and advanced industries such as services, trade, tourism, logistics, information technology, hi-tech, supporting industry, health and education, ... with the focus on implementing socialisation model. The city currently offers favourable policies in terms of land lease and premise for industrial and service related projects, and will consider other incentives and supports for specific individual projects. Vice Chairman Minh also welcomed the idea of hosting the trade exhibition, of which the time and venue required further discussion to fit in the city's busy activity schedule in 2017.
